I picked "Landslide by Stevie Nicks" as my song that relates to seperation. It's about losing your loved one and no matter what brings you down, you can always make your own life. Even if you're afraid, life will work out as it should. I think behind the words, it really touches people's hearts and most people can find themselves relating their own experiences to this song whether you lost a loved one by breaking up or if they died. This song is a way to cope with rough times. I think it's simply perfect musicly and lyricly and a classic!
"I've been afraid of changing cause I built my life around you, but time makes you bolder, children get older. I'm getting older too."
I think the Corleone's have lots on their plate more often then one of them dies. They have respect for their deceased loved ones but they don't know how to deal with grief or put time aside to heal themselves. Maybe someday the Don will have closure for his son's death probably when the murderers are caught. If they let music into their hearts they could probably get closure without having to put somebody to their death because violence won't bring Sonny back. Grief is a personal thing, everybody's measure of grief is different depending on the relationship they had with the loved one they lost.
"None of you are to commit any acts of vengance, none of you are to make any inquiries to track down the murderers of my son without my express command."
