It would be so fine to see your face at my door...

"So far away; doesn't anybody stay in one place anymore? It would be so fine to see your face at my door; doesn't help to know you're just time away; long ago i reached for you and there you stood; holding you again could only do me good; how i wish i could, but you're so far away..."-Carole King. Carole King probably had to deal with death and separation for a while. She probably struggled with both as she traveled around the world. In her time they didn't have cellphones where her family and friends could just talk to her whenever they pleased. She had to write letters or find a phone in a local place. But with her busy work schedule probably didn't have time to do that all the time.

"Mikey not gonna write, you no gonna hear from Mikey. He hide two-three years. Maybe more, maybe much more" -Mrs. Corleone(pg.235). Just like Carole King missed someone so does Kay Adams for her love Michael. Kay has no clue where he is and if i was in her situation i would be worried to death about him. Don Corleone probably has similar feelings like Kay except he's fortunate to know where Michael is. Separation is a big burden to deal with, but sometimes it just has to be. That's when you have to keep your head up and know it will not be forever.
