In the book the godfather the way he wrote it made it seem like a movie how they make you switch from scene to scene. But in the book you can read and see how big the corrouption is and Right in the begining you read right away about corrouption by what happened to Amerigo Because at first he didnt want them to get hurt he wanted them to pay by jail time and to him that would be what a good american does but when it doesn't happen like that and the guys get off free he had to turn into corrouption and thats where the don comes in.To me he's not corrputed he just wanted something done and i understand where he is coming from.
