i think just my title fills you in about what im going to be talking about. The song is called money to blow by drake Birdman and lil wayne. One of the lyrics says that "since i got famous B**** i got money to blow" that line from the song tells you that he basically can do whatever he wants because of how famous and how rich he has gotten. The money is affecting him in a bad way and a good way don't get me wrong bein rich would be great but if your an artist would you write your muisc for the money or because its something you love doing or it was your dream.
The song lyrics realate to Gatsby because when they would throw a party it does include alot of liqour and in Gatsby in almost every get together there was liquor involved and the host either provides the liqour or they get it somehow its always the host that provides or has to keep the party going like in a quote "Anyhow he gives large parties" Pg.56. Money is basically the center of everything t artist don't perform unless money is involved thats what it comes down to even artist that are just coming up depend on money and when they do make it big they want people to recognize their struggle thats why artist like drake rap about there money thats why you don't see the new artist talking about selling drugs and how long they have been on the streets.
