Why did Albert Neri turn his back on the police?
They sent him to jail and Don Corleone basically gave him a get out of jail free card.
Why is Michael going to meet with Barzini?
He wants to make peace so that a war doesn't break out while they're trying to leave New York and settle in Las Vegas.
What do Michael and Tom suspect Tessio of?
Tessio doesn't believe Michael can run the Corleones since he's young and doesn't have a lot of experience. If Tessio kills off Michael he can have all the power and the Tessio family could possibly be more powerful then the Corleones.
Albert Neri killed Barzini while he was on his way to go see Michael. He staged himself as a police officer and put 3 bullets into Barzinis chest. Michael showed up to where Carlo Rizzi was staying and tried to make him confess to helping out with the death of Sonny. He confessed that Barzini was the one who approached him so Michael killed him. I think Carlo should have been killed a long time ago. He treated Connie wrong and the Don didn't really show emotion. Michael is just like Vito. He has that spine chilling look in his eyes.
