Amerigo Bonsera loves america and also loves Sicily in fact him and the don are both from the same town Coroleone but things in that town arent as good as being in america in Sicily you would have to constantly watch your back and people were always trying to get something from you.In America better opportunites you have an easier chance of becoming something so i think Amerigo Bonsera Knows that and thats why he wanted to go to america and he kinda started living the american dream. So to me nationlism for Amerigo is going pretty good he doesnt miss his country and he wanted a better life for him and his family.
Amerigo doesnt even really talk about his past in Sicily so maybe to him Sicily was his old life and he doesnt look back on what happened their he's only focusing on whats happening in america. Loyalty to amerigo bonasera is always there for the don even when he had to pay back his debt for the don he did it without questions or hestation so for amerigo loyalty is without a doubt. When you have to bury someone that you held so high its going to bring Tears and there's also going to be alot of Sorrow.
