Is Harding Insane ?

The charcter i choose to talk about today is Harding. I dont think harding is crazy nor insane. Ithink he just is confused of what he wants. He has a wife but he seems to be actracted to men, So in that case Harding is just in denial.He doesnt want to believe that he is gay. He doesnt want to have the feelings he has for men so he blames his wife.He talks ish about her like its her fault that he's in there. Harding is very smart. He the smarts one out the bunch thats why he is the bull goose loony.

" He's president of the patient's council on account of he has a paper that says he graduated from college." (pg 23) so we would assume that harding is smarter then the rest because he graduated from college seems like he had the perfect life before the ward.

Until McMurphy came alone. He is a big influence on Harding and the rest of the acutes.Although McMurphy tells everybody that they dont belong in there , and their not crazy which most of them are probably better off in there, but he inflence them that their something better then the big nurse is making them seem to be.She's taking avantage of the patients. she's scarying them where to if they dont wanna speak she looks at them and that makes them feel they have to because they all are scared of her. but every since McMurphy came along things are changiing and there not going the way the big nurse is used to them going.All the patients are being influenced.

Do you think its better for harding to be in denial then to let himself believe whats real ?

If you were one of the doctors at the ward and seen how harding was acting would you say he is insane? Do you think harding belongs there?
