To bigger the cat is just as threatning as the white people that own it, but for Mrs. Dalton it might represent how she might have power big like the cat because of her wealth but also delicate and needs attention because of her blindness.
Might be curiosity, pity, seeing the cat with Mrs. Dalton and she being blind... linked with fear maybe because Mrs. Dalton is blind but the cat might act as her eyes.
How does the cat affect biggers opinion of the Dalton's place?
Even though Mrs. Dalton is blind she probably knows what goes on but she says nothing about it why is that?
